  • Executed original research on carbon cycle and long-term forest response and vulnerability to climate change.       

  • Research resulted in 9 peer-reviewed publications (4 in first author), 1 special report and 13 presentations at international scientific conferences, department seminars and outreach events.

  • Obtained £245,000 (€280,150) in grants for original research: Newton International fellowship and Marie Sklodowska-Curie Individual Fellowship.

  • Mentored/supervised undergraduate and postgraduate students.

LECTURER

University of Versailles Saint-Quentin (France)  & University of Aix-en-Provence Marseille (France)

  • Designed and executed original research projects to reconstruct past temperature variations in southern South America using stable isotopes measurements in tree rings and understand the origin of climate signal recorded therein

  • Designed and taught undergraduate and graduate courses in Earth Sciences.

  • Research resulted in 4 peer-reviewed publications and 8 presentations at international scientific conferences and department seminars.

PHD RESEARCHER

Laboratoire des Sciences du Climat et de l'Environnement (LSCE) & University Paris-Saclay (France)

'Evaluation of tree-ring archive as paleoclimatic tracer in northern Patagonia'

  • Designed and executed PhD research project to evaluate the potential of tree-ring measurements (width, oxygen and carbon isotopes) in Patagonia (Argentina) to reconstruct past climate and understand plant physiology

  • Development of first isotopic and tree-ring growth chronologies from southern South America to reconstruct temperatures and understand tree physiological responses to climate change.

  • Prepare and taught undergraduate courses in Earth and Environmental Sciences (128 hours).

  • Research resulted in 3 peer-reviewed publications as first author and 4 presentations at international scientific conferences.
